Great Yarmouth has a fair bit going for it. It's historically important, it's logistically important and its surrounded by flatness. Really it should be a nice cultural town like St Ives or Newcastle or even Kings Lynn. It's not. It's a Liverpudlian's tourist dream, full of people in baseball caps with tans from their last holiday to Benidorm.

God how I hate this culture. Going on holiday to places because they are similar to the place you come from. Why the fuck would you ever visit Benidorm? Or Malaga? Or the Costa? It's just union flags, fish and chips and crappy hotels. You might as well just stay in the UK. Ok well we might not have the weather but it's alot more British if that's what you look for in a holiday.

Wouldn't it be nice if Great Yarmouth was a nice little town with galleries, independent shops, museums about people and places where I could buy antique books or retro sunglasses. It's just got burgers and charity shops and Poundstretcher.

Depressing.

Ah well there is always Norwich. I love Norwich.
